I recently checked the oil level on my 2011 RT 5.7L. The oil is all synthetic, extremely clean and the dipstick end looks like: FILL>>>SAFE>>>

My oil level (with engine cold) read right at the low end of the SAFE spectrum but not below. Car is not a daily driver, extremely low mileage (12,000), driven once a week for fun. Should I add a little oil or am I being over-protective?!

Wouldn't hurt to add a little oil. Just don't overfill it.

As long as it is within the safe zone you're good, however getting further into the safe zone will not ever hurt it. Like he said, just don't overfill it.
