Default Battery Tender w Float Mode vs. Trickle Charger

I spent literally 20 seconds reading an AI response (call me lazy) but did read that float mode is important to prevent overcharging. Is the tender a better solution vs. a trickle charger and does anyone have a preference? I'd like to buy a couple off of AMZN or Harbor.

Thanks

I got some 'float' chargers from Harbor freight. I think it was like 25 bucks for three of 'em.... They do the 2amp trickle charge, but, only when they think the battery needs it. As I leave them on the charger all winter..... that was important to me. (tractor batteries.)
