SRT8 vs. R/T badge for new Challenger

RE: SRT8 vs. R/T badge for new Challenger
This car is made retro through and through to embrace and compliment the original muscle car in ever which way. Essentially it is the '70 Challenger R/T with the only difference being that it is made now, so it does look slightly different, have different dimensions and updated performance yet having the classic touch with the Hemi and manual transmission. So, in keeping with the retro styling and construction I think they should keep the ultimate version as is proudly wearing the proper R/T badge. They have worn down and washed out the meaning behind the R/T badge by applying it to far too many mediocre cars that are far from reflecting the meaning behind the R/T. The SRT is just a new age replacement of the R/T and they have already started to water it down as well by making an SRT version of almost everything (you'll know when SRT means absolutely nothing when they have a Dodge Caravan SRT) and by making pathetic copies of actual SRT's and calling them SRT Design Group Packages.

So maybe if its a 6.1 we will call it an SRT-8, but if its a 6.4 or a 6.6 Hemi we can call it the RT, or Rat Trap as the old 60 Mopar saying goes.
Or maybe they should call it the SRT-8 Rat Trap? No, uhhh what about PVO-8. I give up, just call it the Cuda and get it over with.

T/A: 5.7L
R/T: 6.1L
SRT-8: 6.4L
Since the T/A was part of the classic line-up. Either do that or don't even bother using the SE badge and just call it the base model.

are you asking what it stands for? it stands for Street and Racing Technology and the number is the same as the number of cylinders. SRT replaced RT (no slash) which stood for Racing Team in 2003. previously vipers were RT/10's. is that what you were wandering?
