Default tranny slip??

ok, i installed a K&N cai and SLP Loudmouth 2 catback. I took it out on the highway and kicked it down at 50 mph, the rpm's jumped immediately to 5000+ and the car didnt lurch forward like it normally does. any thoughts?

Just a thought. Did you disconnect the battery to reset the computer soit can relearn with the new additions.Usualy takes about 10-20 minutes disconnected to do it.

the battery was disconnectd for the 2 hours it took to put the cat back on.

I think this is another HAL thing, give the computer time to learn and adapt tothe new hardware.
