hey everyone, I am not sure if there was a thread anywhere about this. I lookin but didn't see one. I went to the dealer to get fog lights for my charger and I didn't like the price the gave me, so I bought an oem set off ebay. I was told thought that in order for the fog lights to would when I hooks them up, that i had to take the car back to the dealership and have them reprogram the ecu to recongnize fog lights so they will work. Is this something I can do myself or do I have to take it to the dealer.... Thanks

Yes, from what I've heard that is true. If you know someone with a starscan or spend 4-5K to purchase one you can do it yourself.

Go ahead and install them and drive it to the dealership, get to know them and hopefully they will charge a small amount to flash you.

 

not a flash just tell the FCM that U have fog lights it even says it in the install guide.

 

Gotta beleive the guy that speaks their language.

I'm not going to guess what a FCM stands forbecuause it probablysux j/k!

THE FCM is Front Control Module just a small computer that does stuff like turn your lights on,horn,turn lights ect.

 

I'm 3 hours north of you Mango, I'll meet you in the middle and you can show me what I need to do to my car!
