Default Need Tires

I bought an 06 R/T, only about a week ago with 16,000 miles and already noticed that the back tires look like they need to be replaced. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on which type i should go with. I drive about 60 miles one way to and from work and mostly use the cruise control. Should i stick with the continetals are move to a different tire?

It sounds like someone forgot to rotate the tires....

I have 23,000 on the Michelins that came on my Daytona, and they still have a few thousand miles left. These are the only tires I have ever owned that lasted more than 15,000 miles. I am impressed enough to replace them with an exact same set. They are quiet, have incredible grip, and seem to last a LONG time. Living in Houston, I cannot make any claims for the winter weather performance. Simply the best OEM tires I have ever seen! (Corvette, and Porsche excluded, your mileage may vary....)

I'm another happy stock Michelin customer. Going on 30K soon, will probably replace them before winter arrives, they should have around 32K on them when their replaced.

Most of what I have heard from those w/Conties hasn't been good.

From what i've heard those continetals didn't get a very good review...my charger came with Goodyear Integrity'sand theyperform very well...when it comes time to change them i think i might go with Goodyear Assurance tires.

I got 30k from the original Continental's, and replaced them with Goodyear Assurance ( 225/60R18) on my Charger. Have 14k on the Goodyears and they look like they will last 60k no problem.I rotate and balance every 6,000 miles, check air pressure once a month.

PS: The Goodyears ride great and handle great, rain or snow. No road noise either.

TireGuy,
I have the original tires also on my Daytona, but only have shy of 18,000 and rotate every 6,000. I live innorthern MN, but do not drive the car in winters. I've been happy with what I have... my boys think I need stickier tires to have some drag race fun with, but I remember the stickier you get, the more you'll break -- there are always trade-offs.

Check out www.tirerack.com and look around, especially how they are rated by users -- very good info for dry, wet, snow, and general information.

wound up going with the bridgestone touranza serenity. 70K tire and supposedly the best one made by bridgestone. So far so good, they ride smooth and quiet.

I was extremely disappointed i n the OEM Michelins. I got 31K miles out of them . I took care of them and rotated themevery5K miles. I will neer buy them again.

I just purchased Yokahoma 520 V rated.

They are a nice ride and handle great.

I got my Charger at 20K and with brand new looking Cont's on them. What have you heard about the Continental's.

I'mtrying to get into learning the specs for tires so Iknow which one's are goodI'm not that familiar with certain tire brand's or the specs.
