Default Change to 180 Stat, minor spillage...

Alright, changed the factory stat to Napa THM 191 180 degree stat. When I was undoing the hose the collant came flying out in all different directions. I didn't lose much as I had my ziplock bag present, but enough to make a puddle on the concrete. Second, I accidentally made a little cut in the rubber gasket on the side facingme as Ilook at the stat in its housing. Questions are: should I worry about the lost coolant? and Should I replace the gasket? Thanks.

I would do both. Put a new gasket on BEFORE topping off the coolant. Better to be safe than sorry.

Coolant, do a visual check of the fill tank, that will tell you if you need to add any.

A cut... depends on how big of a cut. Did it go all the way through the seal? If not your probably ok. You can't buy just the seal from the dealership but I remember a post on where to find just the seal, I'll get that info and post it up.

Someone said go to a Carquest Auto Parts store, the gasketpart number is C31788. I've never seen a Carquest store so not sure what to say about that.

I've got the gasket now, just need Mopar coolant. Haven't found it yet but they have tried to talk me into the yellow "mix with anything stuff" that I'm not going to touch. Thanks for your help guys.

Yea the HOAT stands for Hybrid Organic Acid Technology, what ever that means I've found it at PepBoys.
