One of my previous cars required 5w20 and I remember the bottle of 0w20 Mobil 1 saying "Specifically for vehicles that require 5w20" and they listed Honda & Ford that I can remember. My Grand Marquis never complained [8D]

I don't know much on the 5 vs 0 but aws long as we're on the oil subject.... When I took my Charger in for it's first oil change I asked for full synthetic because I've really noticed a difference using it on my other vehicles especially during cold starts (which is a primary source of wear for the engine) and higher mileage vehicles. The dealer told me to wait until the car had 10 to 12,000 on it before switching over because the engine hasn't completely finished seating everything until then. I thought the length of time was a bit odd but figured they probably knew what they were talking about. The service writer was a bit of a gear-head and seemed to know his stuff. The service writer at another mopar dealer told me the same thing. Also interestingly enough they also said if you do make the switch to full synthetic you can never go back. Anyways I thought it was interesting and thought I'd share it. FYI. -Rob

hi guys, I've been using amsoil for 25 years i swear by it. Put it in my charger at about 1000 miles. no problems. i had 89 jeep, I used it from day 1. i took the head off at 155000 mi. to replace a lifter. You could still see the honing marks in the cylinder walls. And I changed the oil the way amsoil said to every 25000 miles. Krazy Right. It works.
