Default ticking noise

got my 07 r/t about 3 months ago, one of best cars ever had (in recent years-almost like old muscle cars butw/ the great ride, handling, quiet inside.etc) . installed k&n cai, great sound performance, seems alittle better response, but fuel econ has dropped. also noticed a ticking noise coming from under hood area, sounded like old days when noisy lifter started(remember?) dealer syas it is "the hemi tick" & nothing can be done, says chrysler has tried & no cure-seems to be getting a little louder too any body have same or similar incident. noise is not bad but can be irritating when its quiet & your stopped thanks

The "hemi clicking" is generally associated w/ the injectors and coomon to the new Hemi. HOWEVER, you mentioned it is getting louder??? That's starting to sound like something else, like a lifter not fully pumped up or valve tap...too hard to diagnose here obviously. I try another Dodge dealer and see what a "second opinion" gets you.

A lot of folks get that Hemi tick, I agree that it's valve train related.

You may have an exhaust leak. That was my issue.
