Default How to clean door panels

I recently purchased a used 2007 Dodge Charger SXT AWD (I traded a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee because of the rising fuel prices) and this morning I noticed there was what appeared to be dried (florescent) paint on the rear passenger door and I was wondering what would be the best way to clean it off. I have access to “PDI Sani-Cloth Plus” wipes which will basically remove anything it comes in contact with but I’m afraid of damaging the finish on the door panel or do you think I should have the dealer attempt to remove it.

Like you I would be afraid harsh cleansers would damage or discolor the panel. I would start with ordinary dish soap & towel and work your way to harsher detergents if that doesn’t work.

If nothing else test the "PDI Sani-Cloth Plus" on an area that least visible and proceed from there.

You might try some WD-40, too. I use it to remove oily stains from my house carpet, gum, etc.

I contacted the dealer I purchased it from last night and they are going to try and remove the marks on the door panel on Tuesday. Once I get the car back if they were un-successful I will try either the soap and water or the WD40. Wanted to say thank you for your advice.

I used dishwashing soap and a fine scotch brite pad to clean mine. It works very well and didn't scratch it either.
