New Charger or New GTO?
The Charger. I'd take that Charger in a heart beat if someone gave me the choice of one and a GTO. Those new GTOs are nice, but they look too much like a Grand Am. Nothin special at all about it. Now the Charger kinda has a Magnum style to it, but at least it looks a little different. It's almost as if someone had been teasing a Magnum and pissed it off lol, and if you see it in your mirror you better move out the way. Plus a 425 HP HEMI V8 sounds rather pleasing.
well for me, its a hard choice. i like the new charger and the new GTO. even though the new charger is a 4-door, i will look killer with some aftermarket parts like a hood scoop like the 1970 old 442, and racing stripes and well as like chrome tail lights. maybe if dodge made it a 2-door it would look even better. hopefully i will c the charger at the philly auto show in feb, then i can judge it. but, i think the GTO has a sleek body style, making it easy to customize to many different tastes.
Neither... I'm out to buy a modern American-made v-8 RWD muscle car... I've been holding out for the Charger, but I already have a 4-door sedan for everyday... I guess i'll be going over to the local (gulp! ) Ford store for a Mustang

And WHY is the new more powerful 6.1 Hemi in a STATION WAGON, and NOT in the Charger ?!?!

The "statin wagon" has it because it was invisoned with that much power if you remember back in 2003 also the wolf in sheeps clothing kinda fits the criteria. The Charger will have the 6.1 in a few months when the SRT package is released. (fall most likely) I assume the DCX folks want to see if the CHARGER will sell with a regular engine before they add another 10K for a H.P. package.
Owning a Magnum, I can't see how the Charger will offer any better ride or handling capabilities or significant faster 1/4 mile times than the Magnum in the Hemi version. With the SRT-8 predicted to have an added cost of 10K to the R/T sticker price, the GTO to me for muscle per HP is the better buy. BTW, I drove the new GTO with the stick today, ummmmmm, one word, AWESOME!
I picked the Charger because I love the styling and prefer the driving position. I also like the Charger better because it is roomier and a more useable car. The GTO, while a formidable performance car, is not as useful as the Charger for someone who buys one car.

I do dig the "Wolf in sheeps clothing" principle with the Charger especially the SRT-8. I'm still in the air over the MAG srt-8 or the Charger SRT-8. I always felt the Magnum was the perfect car. Pretty much like the commercial depicts it. It had ***** and call haul it all. I WANT a car with ***** and enough room to haul my rottweiler
