So, got the Predator last Friday and when I connected to my car it said that my car needed an update. Wasn't smart enough to buy the computer connector kit the first time, so had to wait another week for the connector kit to come in. I got the kit #U7778 (USB). When I connected to my laptop it said to install the mini disk that came with the kit. I didn't receive a mini disk! Am I overlooking something, or did Car Shop Inc just forget to include the disk? Am I dead in the water until they ship me a disk, or is there a cable that I can pick up at Best Buy, etc? In possession of a Predator for 8 days, and all I can do is look at it.

 

It sounds like your missing the driver for the USB to Serial. You will need that to continue.

 

Yeah, just got off the phone with Diablosport. He said I should've had a disk, but he was able to direct me to their tech forums so I could download the correct driver. Got it downloaded and should be ready to plug in and install after work. Talk about a loooong weekend waiting for their tech department to come back to work.
