Default malfunction indicator light

I have a 2006 dodge charger my malfunction indicator light is staying on. any ideas what it means?

Your manaul should tell you how the do the key dance to figure out what the code is. Or you could go to Autozone and they will pull the code(s) and tell you what they are.

Does your car have the EVIC on it? If so it can tell you also.

did the key dance everything worked and got a message saying DONE no codes.

Interesting because the check engine light (CEL) is an indicator that there is a code.

Try taking it to AZ and see if they can get the codes

Go with Scott's suggestion and take it to your favorite auto parts store. They should have a code reader they can hook you up with, it shouldn’t take but a few minutes and it’s free.
