Default Heater Panel Lights

Hi All,

The heater panel lights on my 2006 Charger went out. The unit works fine, but the lights are out. I researched this topic and found that to be a common problem. Most threads indicated that I need to change the module that controls the heater panel lights (cost is around $150). Does anyone have the part number or the part name (or is it simply the module that controls the heater panel lights)?

Welcome to the forum, I also have a 06 Charger.

I've got heated seats and those switches have lights but I'm not familar with the heater panel light.

Can you help me understand what lights your talking about?

I am talking about the heater/ac switches (power level, heat/cool level, air output). The heater/ac itself works, but when you turn on the headlights, the interior lights do come on except for these three switches.

I couldn't find the part number for the HVAC control cluster. Can you stop by a dealerhip and get the part # from the service department?

I went to the dealer and ordered the heater control module. It should be in in a couple of days. Any hints or tips on how to remove the center bezel cover without the risk of breaking it?

The bezel pulls right off, I started up top turninng the vents all the way down then was able to get ahold and pulled and worked my way down to the bottom. I also had the ashtray assembly out but I don't think thats manditory.

Thanks for the input dude. I will definitely take my time doing this. Do you recall any clips in the center part of it or were they all around the frame of it?
