Good question, it's really depends on a few things.
First and formost have the mods been indorced on the policy.
You may get the insurance company's permission to pull the mods.
Are there stock parts you can put back onto the car to replace the modded parts.
Is it worth your time and trouble to gather all the tools needed to pull things like headers, catback, cam, heads, wheels... then transport, store and sell the stuff.
I've only had one other totaled car and in this case I got a fair settlement on the car. I didn't have to fight to get what I considered a good dollar value for the car. Given that, I didn't ask about pulling parts it really wouldn't have been worth my time. I did get a good laugh when my 9 year old girl said she would help me take it apart and I told her I would rather spend my time with her doing something fun. I was able to de-tune the car and sold the tuner and other misc. parts around the house.

im not sure exactly how it all works cause ive never had the chance to find out and dont want to..although ive seen a few guys who bought there cars back with the check they get from the insurance and fix it themself..
just trying to give you some options..sucks man really sorry to see that
that turned my stomach to see your charger like that...looks like it was really a beautiful car..but i personally believe regardless what any insurance expert will say..i think you can fix it
thats one thing i hate about all this..the **** that should be totalled..gets fixed..and the **** that shouldnt be totalled gets totalled
i think there was a guy on here..with a camaro..a black one that got the whole back of it whiped out by a semi..and he fixed it after buying it back from the insurance company
worth looking into..

Your right wake, that is another option.
I have plenty of tools to work on the car but I don't have the tools nor the shop needed to stretch-n-bend the frame. Someone with the drive, time, money, tools and shop can take that job on.
If I wanted another GoManGo I can turn around and buy one, used of course but not wrecked.
