srt 8 tranny question

who makes the transmission for the srt8 cars. i know they make the autos and sticks but are they all made by the sam people? i friend told me they came straight out of the amg mercedes line. is this true? thanks

I know the r/t's come from the E55 amg but not sure about the SRT's. The stock horse power of the SRT is still under the max rating of that tranny so it might be the same.
