Default Need Help With Emissions!

I have a 2006 Charger R/T, however, when I take the emissions test I keep being rejected because of:

1, Catalytic Converter EFF. NOT READY

2, Oxygen Sensor. NOT READY

Also DTC: Code P1521 INCORRECT OIL TYPE

The Dealer reset the P1521 code, But no one can tell me how long or far the vehicle has to be driven for the system to be ready.
I can't continue to fail emissions, any help will be greatly appreciated!

I'm guessing you have a 5.7L engine? If you do, there is a flash update for the oil pressure code. Also what is the weight oil that you are putting in the engine? Drive the car for 40 to 100 miles. Then you should be able to retest the emission.

FYI... You can do a quick check to see if your ready for inspection by:

Turnning the key to the On position without starting the car.
It's ready if the engine light does not blink.
If the engine light blinks when all the other indicator lights have gone out the emissions test are not in a ready state.

That's just getting ready for a standard ODB II inspection test not real emissions "sniffing" tests like in strict states like CA.

I had a Ford Escort that wouldn't pass the emissions test down here in Florida one year (thank god we don't have them anymore). But anyway, the garage couldn't find the problem either after a couple of trips. So like I did in Pennsylvania, I went to my small hole in the wall garage that I had alot of work done, so the owner new me, and asked if there was someone out there that could "pass" me. Sure enough there was. $75 and I got my certificate. ALot cheaper than several repairs and trips to the test site.....

Good luck on your issue though.
