Default 2008 Charger brake issues

I have a 2008 Charger 3.5 and the rear brakes rotors and pads replaced at 24,000miles (35,000km). I was told it was my driving habits, yet my 2001 Buick with 250,000km on it has about 80,000km out of its last set of pads and rotors. I was also told the front pads have only about 5,000km life left in them. I also have a friend that use to work at Chrysler Engineering in Detroit who tells me they have a design issue with their calipers that cause premature wear but they do nothing about it. Anyone else with the same issues.

Never heard about the rear having problems, but yes, several have issues with the front pads. You're not alone.

i have a 2007 dodge charger and i also have problems with my rear drivers side brake wearing down to fast!!!!! just put brakes and roters on last month and still have the problem with very uneven wear on that rear brake. i know other owners having the same issue with there chargers also. i really think we have a faulty caliper. i do think that dodge should correct this problem. i went to auto store to yet get another brake and priced out a new caliber and it was priced at 80 dollars. plus my own labor.
