Default lease price

if i use my intrepid as a down payment, after the employee discount, it would cost me $294 per month for an SE. this is a 39 month lease term.

the SE is the 3.5. it is the most basic charger. it doesn't even have leather. i probably wont do it. i got to pay high insurance already, now image a newer car with a bigger engine. plus is till owe my dad 3500 on the intrepid. I'm just gonna keep pulling the dealer chain until they let me test drive one.

it is also 5 speed auto instead of 4

hmmm...well, im actually rooting for yo to get one, so at least a couple people that really like it can have one. have you checked on insurance quotes? and they wont let you just drive one?? my bad on the engine size....i know the magnum has a 2.7 offering..i thought that was also the charger base engine..i stand corrected

well i haven't driven it yet, because I'm not 18 yet. 6 days. i really want one too. i haven't run insurance yet, but considering my intrepid is 2400 a year, I'm kind of afraid. i really like the 3.5 too. i wish i could get a sxt instead though, just for more standard features, but i cant even afford the SE, so the sxt is out of the question.

well, depending on the take rate of the various models, you may be able to get an SXT or SE in a year or so for a sizable discount...plus your employee discount. i didnt think about the whole being 18 to test drive a car...

6 cly magnums and 300's are discounted already because they are not moving. Especially the 2.7 offerings. In all reality Nick if you add your neg balance to your payment you'd be paying about 430 a month to "rent" a base model vehicle. Wait a little bit. The lease prices will come down. Even if they don't you could pick up a slightly used one for quite a bit less. And you'll owe less on the trep!

well i am really planning on driving my intrepid, if the air conditioning isn't hundreds to fix, until i get out of college. by then, there will be 6 speed auto chargers that have awd, and a hemi. sounds expensive, yes, but ill be in good shape after college though. i wont buy a 6 cycle magnum or 300. i would however buy it in a charger(3.5) because the sxt charger looks really nice, as opposed to the 300 headlights and stuff looking crap on the v6 models compared to the hemi.

Nick, I don't think you should get the SE. Atleast try for the SXT if you're gonna do it.
