Just for the heck of it...
The folks the Challenger is directed at is a more nostalgic, "hot rod", 60's-70's muscle car market segment. I kinda think that the styling is so diametrically opposite of the Challenger, that it would draw a completely different type of enthusiast, folks who may have been drawn more to foreign cars. Or those who've mistakenly viewed the late model Dodge/Chrysler performance cars as blunt force instruments, with the styling attitude of a sledge hammer.
As I was "designing" this chop, I was thinking of the demographic of people wanting a Viper, but for whatever reason, it's unrealistic. I saw this car as more of a Poor Man's Viper... with the added benefit of being a practical, daily driver.
I appreciate your response, you do bring up an interesting point... I just think with the proper marketing, a car like this would be viable, without cannabilizing sales of the Challenger or new Charger.
