Super hot air from vents
I bought a Charger SE two weeks ago. LOVE it with the exception of the super hot air when I turn on the AC. This always happens after the car is warmed up then turned off for a short time. I know, I know warm air comes out of the vents before the cold but this is very hot, quite abnormal! Feels like a blast furnace. Not fun on a hot summer day! I owned a Dodge RAM; didn't have this problem. I am taking it into the dealer. It is unacceptable. Anyone else having this problem?

yeah take it to the dealer. must be one of those bugs in a first year car. don't hold it against anyone, especially when they fix it for free under warranty
Hi Nick. The AC refrigerant works by absorbing heat in the air passing thru the evaporator in the heater box....thus expelling cool air. When you shut the car down, the whole system absorbs the heat from the engine compartment. I have a new Legacy GT which also does this. If it cool right away after a restart, unfortunately this is normal. I have a Magnum too, that does the same thing.
