Default trunk opens by itself when starting car

Just 2 months in with my R/T 2011.
THe trunk started opening on its own when the vehicle starts. I've read some other posts on this, the pattern does not match.
It has happend to both me and my wife where we each have our own key-fob.
It happens when I get in and start the car. It is so consistent that I dont' even close the door. I start the car and get up and close the trunk then get in and close the door.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

There is obvious something wrong with the programming. I would take it to the dealer and have them check your computer.

On a lighter note, this post kinda made me giggle as you made it a habit to not shut your door and go close your trunk. Just picturing you doing it in the rain. Sorry.... LOL

My 2011 started doing the same thing. Automatically opens every 30 seconds.. then stays closed for a while then opens again.
Took it to the dealer,They ordered a new latch assembly..
Hope it fixes the problem.
Has nothing to do with the fob...
