Dodge Charger The Dodge Charger. The car that made its competitors shiver in the 60's is reborn in 2006 into a sleek sedan that can still send the competition home wimpering, the Dodge Charger.

Question hello all

i am new here and this seems to be the most knowledge based dodge forum so i think this is the best place to get an answer.

i am looking into buying a 2006 dodge charger r/t (not the daytona) and it has just over 100,000 miles. i was just wondering if there are any common problems with the r/t models of that age and anything i should specifically look out for. Oh, and he hasn't done any major maintenance on the car. As to my knowledge he has only done regular oil changes and a transmission flush.

thanks in advance for any responses!

Just be ready to plunge in like $1500 to to renew the Front end, Brakes and Tires should be inspected too. and it should drive like a New car.
Oil Change and Trans service is really all you need. And occasionally a rear differential service and tune up.

The whole front suspension pretty much. tension arms, control arms, tie rod ends, sway bar link and bushing, maybe Struts. and alignment.
for a 100k vehicle, it really isnt bad. You are buying a Used car with 100k, and you said owner really didn't do any repair, you should expect something would come up.
If you really look at it, doing the whole suspension on any car cost about the same. It is just Chargers seem to wear out a lot faster.

The Hemi doesnt have timing belt, i has a Chain that will last a long time as long as u do your oil change. The Charger has a solid Drivetrain, u really dont have to worry about engine and trans problem as long as maintainence has been kept up
