What engine?
What do you need suggestion on? how to negotiate a better price? Just keep whining and bitching, and watch them come back with an offer 20% lower than original estimate.

if cylinder #2 shows low compression, you probably bad warp valve seat or worn valve guide, a cylinder head overhaul is your only option.

Gees, for "over" two grand they should just replace the head, even with labor costs by a certified tech, a new head couldn't possibly run much more then time spent machining the existing head.

The gentle man seem to live in Canada. I heard Auto repair up there usually cost 50-100% more than US for some reason.

Rwsiren,

Any new updates on your current concern? If you'd like to PM me your VIN# and the name of your servicing dealer, I'd like to review this further for you.

I look forward to hearing from you.
