2011 Dodge Charger Dash Lights
The dashboard backlight on my 2011 Dodge Charger SE will not turn off. The lights have stayed on for hours and possibly over night as I have had to be jump started the next day multiple times and have had to replace the battery. I have taken it to the dealership and they are unable to duplicate the issue. It typically happens to me about once a day or every other day. My only work around is to stand outside the car and make sure it turns off. If it doesn't, usually after cycling the push start it turns off. Has anyone else had this problem or know what it could be. Thanks

Are you able to leave your Charger at the dealership overnight or for a few days so they can try to replicate it under conditions that are more comparable to how you're experiencing the issue?

I have left my car at the dealership for 6 days and they can not duplicate. So they recommend me keep taking it back so they can duplicate. I have seen where others have had the same issue and took it to the dealership and after 25 days the dealership could not duplicate. It I get the car back and it happens again. By time I take it back it probably wont happen again as it is intermittent. Although they couldn't duplicate the issue and troubleshoot it. They're suggestion was for me to pay out of pocket to replace the radio. If anything needs to be replaced I would think it would be the BCM.
I've been down this road before. One had tons of stereo equipment wired in like a rats nest. The other 2 required 2 or 3 clusters to fix, because many of the ones that are sent back to the reman facility have this intermittent issue, they don't catch it when refurbing them and send them back out as "good" clusters.
First question: Do you have any aftermarket items wired in?
Basically anything that the cluster powers up like lights and what-not can wake the thing up and cause a draw, including the cluster itself. There was also an issue with the door handles or latches waking them up because of water intrusion into the handle. There was a recall for this BTW. L-28

Thanks for the information. My car should be up to date on all recalls. Except for the recent airbag issue which cant be fixed until next year. Hopefully I don't get into any accidents before then. All equipment is OEM. I haven't made any changes to it.
If it's really rainy where you live, it's possible that water got in the handles again. Another thing I've run into that wakes the cluster up is the Battery Sensor in the trunk. It's mounted to one of the terminals.
Did you solve this issue? I'm having this same problem with my 2011 charger. Dash lights stay on with car being off - kills battery. Noticed the radio messed up around the same time as it usually starts on a not pre-tuned station (or the station I listened to last).
