Dodge ChargerThe Dodge Charger. The car that made its competitors shiver in the 60's is reborn in 2006 into a sleek sedan that can still send the competition home wimpering, the Dodge Charger.
i'm thinking of having the factory authorized cold air induction system installed in my 16 charger rallye. this is the awd 6 banger. how much hp gained? any probs in heavy rain or car washes? do you like it?
It will actually be a hot air intake compared to the factory. Put a K&N drop in filter and enjoy not having to service the filter for many thousands of miles.
There is not much to gain without hardware / Money. Not sure whats out there for the V6. Could-a had a HEMI.
For gains without hardware get it tuned on a dyno using HPTuners. Maybe you will get 15hp and if the tuner is good it will feel & like 25+ with raised shift points, and shift firmness / quickness and such.
Next would be a cam & headers. Not cheap.
Or a turbo or super charger. Mo Money.
Or a time bomb No2 injection.
With a V6 AWD you can wait till it rains and stomp all over 2WD cars.
The factory Mopar CAI will pull cold air like the original setup, but like they said, all you're really gonna get is sound and aesthetic value. I know with the hemis 15+ you have to swap in an unlocked PCM before it can be tuned. There is a blower kit available for the 3.6L, but that will only put you in hemi territory for quite the expense ($5000 at least).
