D(rive) dash indicator flashing and beeping

D(rive) dash indicator flashing and beeping
2017 Charger 1500 miles
The last hour of a 9 hour drive, coming out of a 3 hours near standstill stretch. Traffic picked up to about 20 MPH, 3 more lanes open up everyone accelerates. At this point I hit the gas and simply rev. Appears the vehicle disengaged from the transmission. The D(rive) indicator on the dash starts flashing red, followed by loud beeping (almost like that "put your seatbelt on" beep). Now stalled in the middle of the freeway in the dark on thanksgiving weekend, cars honking and hitting their brakes behind me. I shift to manual nothing, shift to Neutral and back to drive at which point the transmission engages and I'm up and moving as if nothing happened. After 3 days at the dealership they tell me nothing is wrong and it could have been a hiccup. Computer shows no signs of anything ever happening, 31 miles with a co-pilot computer and nothing.
Anyone else experience this issue?
My concern is I plan on making a few more trips to AZ and as a single female the last thing I need is to be stranded in the desert stretch or rear ended on a freeway due to another occurrence.

Sorry to hear about this! If the concern occurs again or if you decide to revisit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to offer assistance if needed. Just send us a PM with your VIN and let me know.
