2006 Dodge Charger, want to know how hard to put a 6.4 hemi into a 2006 Charger R/T.

Lots of differences in the motors..... it might physically bolt in, but, getting it to run might be challenging...... I think the 6.4 is going to have MDS, and variable cam timing as well...... So, mixing and matching will be interesting.... especially getting the trans to work as well. The 6.x engines may also be wider..... and not physically fit in the engine compartment, but, not 100% sure on that.

It will physically bolt in, however both are VVT engines, your PCM will not run them. It will require wiring and PCM changes. Muscle Motors quoted me $13,000 to install a new engine and complete wiring and computer changes. Stock NAG1 and most of the rest of the driveline will most likely not hold up to a hellcat.
LOL....06 R/T has MDS as well...all 3rd generation hemis, be it either 5.7, 6.1, 6.2 or 6.4 are identical externally packing and sizewise with the exception of the blower on the 6.2.
