Default P0602 code

I bought a 2011 Dodge charger ppv Nov 2017. I started to hear thud thud thud at 15 mph. It was the center support bearing. My mechanic replaced it, took it for a test drive, good to go. When I went to start it, it wouldn't start. Just kept saying press brake and ignition switch to start. We hooked up the coder and the code P0602 says "programming error". he swears it was fine on test drive, and has no idea what happened. When he clears the code, it starts, but then the code reappears. And again car won't start. He says he didn't touch anything electrical while replacing the bearing. Can anyone make sense of this or help in any way? I'm in the Detroit metro area. I appreciate any input.
