the driver door works from inside of my 2016 charger. but it wont open from the outside. I took the handle off by unscrewing the 1 screw but I cant tell what if anything is broken. so I'm not sure if the issue is the handle or the lock it attaches to when in place. how can you tell what's not working and what part needs to be repaired?

 

Pull the interior door panel, and have a look at the outside handle, and its associated linkages.

found out there is a clip that attaches the door handle to the mechanism inside the door. the clip is gone. so I ordered a clip kit. $18.
kit come in tomorrow.
