Hi,

I recently purchased a 2011 dodge charger and I suspect the mileage has been rewinded, is there anyway to check what the actual mileage is or if it was actually rewinded?

Basically I took it to the dealer for a service and apparently the mileage that was reported on the last time it went into the dealer is higher than the current mileage, however it could have possibly been a mistake when recording the mileage as the car is in exceptionally good condition or maybe it wasn't rewinded by much, so is there anyway to check with surety if the mileage was rewinded and if so, what the correct mileage should be?

the pcm also has the mileage but its not 100% accurate it could be off a little bit

 

Thanks, how off would it be approximately? and how would I be able to check it? any specific OBD2 scanner?

 

I don't know what aftermarket scanner you will need I only use the Chrysler wi-tech pod which can only be used at a dealer and they tell us it could be + or- 200 miles its located in the pcm under miscellaneous function setting I believe or the configuration screen

 

ok, so a dealer should be able to check it? is it possible that it wouldn't show if the mileage was tampered with?
