Dodge ChargerThe Dodge Charger. The car that made its competitors shiver in the 60's is reborn in 2006 into a sleek sedan that can still send the competition home wimpering, the Dodge Charger.
I recently bought a 2006 charger daytona
its in amazing shape besides what I recently discovered,
Both the front frame rails have a giant hole in them,
I originally thought this was just the front sub frame but I am now discovering it's the front frame rails,
From underneath the car it looks like they just bolt on and even looking at the replacement part it looks like it just bolts on from the main body of the car too the sub frame but I'm assuming it won't be that easy and will need to be welded.. I cannot weld and I'm scared I'm in way over my head,
my mechanic will pass it for safety but im really looking at the longevity of this car as there really isnt that many left in canada
here's a photo of the replacement part
if anyone knows if these are bolt on or need to be welded please let me know
thank you
Can't really tell if it just bolts on, or if welding will be required..... Take a look at your car, see where it mounts, and if there is anything welded to it...... It may be just a bolt-in operation.
