Default 2008 Dodge Charger RT

So I have a 2008 dodge charger rt, it has 163,000 miles on it. I replaced the radiator 7 months ago, last week I replaced the thermostat and waterpump. The car will spray/drip coolant while its running. But once I turn it off and the system decompresses there is a puddle on the ground the next day. When you open the hood, facing the car the whole front right side under the overflow tank is covered in coolant. When the coolant reaches the right temperature I hear a hissing noise that sounds like steam. The puddle was towards the front to the left when facing the car. The car doesn't over heat and the heat works as usual but rarely it goes cold but then back to hot and lasts another 20 minutes or so. Sorry for the long message, I'm just at a lost here.

How about the radiator cap?

The way the system is supposed to work.... Coolant expands as it gets hot, so, once the cooling system reaches its "set" pressure, (17-18 psi) it will vent some coolant into the overflow bottle. If the bottle is already full, well, it's gotta go somewhere.... Then, once you shut it off, and the engine cools, it will draw some back into the radiator. There should be markings on the overflow for "Full Cold", and possible Full Hot as well.... make sure it isn't overfilled.

Thanks for the info, but when I fill it the the line as its supposed to. The overflow is completely empty and almost a full gallon of coolant gone.

Replace the radiator cap. Make sure to get a GOOD one. (Stant?)
