Default 2016 Charger drive shaft

I just purchased a 2016 Charger with AWD from a dealership. Car had 74k miles on it at that time. After driving less than 500 miles on it, I started hearing a faint knocking noise while driving a constant speed or decelerating, but not while accelerating. In addition to this, the AWD lights on the console is red. Took it to the shop at our local Doge dealership. They said both the front and rear drive shaft need to be replaced. They also provided a video of the car while on a lift. In the video, the mechanic is moving the drive shaft with his hand and comments that it needs to be replaced.

Is this a common repair for this model vehicle?
Would this be from normal wear on a vehicle or somehow caused by the previous owner?
Is there any possibility this type of repair would be missed by a dealership 100 point inspection?

TIA

Replace the driveshafts?? Say WHAT?? If it's moving, its likely just worn u-joints, which should be able to be replace pretty cheap.....

Makes sense. I did check with a local shop and they want to start with the u-joints as well. So hopefully that's all it is.
