Question Tips on modding my 5.7 daytona charger (2017)

Hey guys please give me some modding advice.
While I am no stranger to driving fast cars, (my previous muscle car was a Cadillac CTS-V sport), I have little to know experience under the hood and wanted to know what options I have when modding my charger. I Ideally want to add around 50-75 horsepower to get myself a decent boost in power while keeping the hemi naturally aspirated. I would potentially like to introduced forced induction later down the line in the way of a pro charger so any mods I do now need to be compatible with this late game move.
I don't really want to screw around with emissions and don't want the car to be insanely loud so I don't want to remove the muffler or mess around with my cat. I also don't want to break the bank too much.

My ideas so far,
1. add short/maybe long tube headers
2. tune ( I know nothing about tuning)
3. potentially throw a catback on

Please let me know if you guys have any recommendations

Welcome to DF! Moving this to the Charger section for ya.

Headers sure won't hurt. Tuner won't either. Cat back will be louder than stock... check youtube for videos of various systems. (with sound. )

Bit of a step down from a CTS-V to an R/T lol.
1. Never hurt, but expensive and you will need custom midpipes with cats to mate to them. Shorties will mate to your stock mids. Another alternative is Scat/SRT manifolds and mids. Bolt right on.
2. Have to unlock or get an unlocked PCM. 2015+ Mopar PCM's are locked. No custom tuning otherwise.
3. 2017+ 5.7's got the active exhaust that the previous 2015-16 SRT's had gotten (PCM actuated exhaust valves, get loud when you put your foot in it). They accomplished by putting the SRT catback on it. So while your primary pipes are 2½", your catback is already 2¾" like the SRT's to support the active exhaust. If you put an aftermarket catback in it and don't have the exhaust valves welded back in, you may trip the exhaust pressure sensor; this will disable your remote start and throw a code. As it is, not having the solenoids will probably throw a code.

The 5.7 has good heads (stock eagle heads are good for 600 hp NA) and decent compression but everything underneath is cast. Granted that will hold up fine NA but not too far past 8 psi boosted. Your goal of 50-75 hp more will only be realized either with a very healthy cam or low boost.
