Question Mystery Pieces found in the oil pan

Hard black plastic pieces in pan under the oil pump.

2011 Dodge Charger SE 3.6L V6

Doing a rod bearing replacement and found these in the smaller pan under the oil pump. No clue what has broken or where to look.
Looking up at the crank/rods I see nothing suspicious.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated. I'm one of those old school "backyard mechanics" and haven't had the pleasure (?) of doing this serious of a project on these "newer" vehicles.

Thanks much

Holy cow I do believe you're right! The older engines had no such thing. Looking through RockAuto I think you've hit the nail on the head. Could also be a broken guide. Now I know where to look.
I'll tell you what. Today's mechanics earn every penny they get.

Thank you!!!!!

It's my son's car and he works during the week so we'll find out for sure next weekend.
