Default 2013 Driver side Back door won’t open after new glass install

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for help and guidance.
My charger is was broken into recently and it resulted in both driver side windows needing to be replaced. I got the work done at a glass repair place and now my driver ride back door doesn’t open. I took it back to show them but they said this is a known issue with dodge. The shop was able to open the door by smacking around the door handling from the in and outside but I’m just trying to see if there is anything else I can do. The door has since not opened, which the guys told me would happen. I’m not car savvy but I’m just looking for help/advice.

I have never heard that before......

I suspect that the shop is just feeding you a line, to dodge responsibility..... Take it back again, and ask them to fix it. If they can't/won't, take is somewhere else, get it fixed, then take that bill to the shop, and ask for the money. If they don't wanna pony up, take 'em to small claims court. You will win.

Well whats interesting is I took it back today and the district manager was in. The tech told me they couldn't open the door because they don't have the tools to do that...(umm sir how did you get the glass in). Talked to the DM and told him that there is no possible way you can claim its a dodge issue if you can't even open the door. The current update is the auto glass place has agreed to pay for a diagnostic example and the shop I went to said this is not the first time this specific glass shop has messed up a door... DOWN TO THE MAKE MODEL AND YEAR! So it is to be determined still because I haven't had the diagnostic exam done for a few days based on my work schedule.

Update!

Thanks for all the help. I kept pressing the auto glass shop and they agreed to pay for me to go to a mechanic and get the door looked at to see if it was because of their work...IT WAS! The mechanic fixed my door and told me this is not the first time this glass shop has pulled something like this and that they have their billing on file and I didn't pay a penny for the door to be fix. Very thankful to those I talked to that encouraged me to keep pressing and saying something was fishy. I just graduated from uni and moved to a whole new state alone for my dream job so to have all this happen and have no one and no knowledge about cars, I really can't express my gratitude enough. Seriously THANK YOU!!!

Awesome. Glad to hear it worked out. I figgered the glass shop was trying to pull a fast one.
