So, my 2012 Dodge Charger SXT throws code P0300 which is a random misfire. It idles rough and at high rpm. It also has a gas smell whenever it goes idle. I’ve taken it to multiple mechanics for them to diagnose the issue, but no one can seem to find the problem. Spark plugs, ignition coils have both been replaced. I’m afraid i’m gonna have to take it to a dodge dealer and have them rob me of thousands of dollars. Any idea what this random misfire could be from?

I honestly couldn’t even tell you. I have no clue.

 

May wanna pull a couple and check. The Dodges just don't really seem to care for the rare-earth plugs.... they tend to cause mystery misfires.
