Default 2010 dodge charger shut off while driving

Hello!! Today my stepfather surprised me and purchased me a 2010 dodge charger. Took it for a test drive car drove great. Drove it home 45 minutes away. Car continued to drive great. Along the way while sitting at the light I noticed that the car would almost “hiccup” randomly, with my foot on the break. But otherwise ran great. So fast forward to tonight I’m driving it to my boyfriend’s place to show him the car and I’m pretty sure I was at the light again and I hit the gas and as soon as I did, the car just shut off I started panicking and put the car into park and then turned it back on. Once I did, the check engine light was on.. I have not found any fixes for this in any threads except one just now (out if tons) that says when they fixed the map sensor, this is what fixed their issue. Could that be the case? Tons of folks are saying when they did a diagnostic machine on the car no codes came up either. Any help would be appreciated (since my last car was a VW Passat that I sunk tons of money into to ultimately have a shop ruin the car, by frying my cluster, and now that car is a lost cause because the keys couldn’t be programmed to the cluster )

If the check engine light is on, there should be a code, get that read, and see where it leads.

checked it today and it’s the camshaft position sensor. I can’t believe that that part is what caused the car to just turn off while I was driving.

The Camshaft Position Sensor could cause stalling. That sensor is used by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to determine when it's time to fire the spark plugs and trigger the fuel injectors. On Ford products a failing Crankshaft Position Sensor will cause stalling, but at least some other makes will do the same with a failing Camshaft Position Sensor. I'm not positive, but maybe Dodge is one of them.
