Default Cool Air Intake

Hey guys! I'm new here and this is my first post. So I have a 2021 V6 Dodge Charger SXT (love this car!) and I'm looking for a cheap way to get a little more horsepower out of it. I've been told a cold air intake would give it a bit of an edge, without making the car sound like a lawnmower lol

I'm a noobie...... Any one intake in particular work really well for this car? Any recommendations or what I should look for? Thanks guys!

Aftermarket cold air intakes do nothing, and can be worse (depending on brand). If you open your hood, you will see your car already has a cold air intake from the factory. (it draws air from the grill area). Biggest bang for the buck will be a tuner. Look into Diablosport.

CAI is good for noise, looks and not much else. You will need an unlocked PCM before you can tune (all Mopar PCM's after 2015 require unlocking).

If you actually look at how they claim to be so good it's the filter element. It flow better than the stock one. Save your money on a cai and replace the stock filter with a K&N. Keep in mind by gaining performance it won't filter as well as a stock one. And a K&N should be cleaned and reoiled after so many miles.

But be careful not to over-oil, as that can coat sensor and lead to decreased performance and/or fuel economy. That's less of an issue on cars without a MAF sensor or IAT sensor right after the air filter, but there's really no benefit to using extra oil on the filter anyway.
