Dodge Charger The Dodge Charger. The car that made its competitors shiver in the 60's is reborn in 2006 into a sleek sedan that can still send the competition home wimpering, the Dodge Charger.

Though I'm not sure I would put it like Dodgerla, to some extent I agree. the differences are as dramatic, as though you were asking should I buy a subcompact or a Dodge Ram 2500. Its dependant on your needs, dispensable cash and your daily use for the unit. Are you driving to make a living.. or are you living to drive.. I don't measure my units performance in miles per gallon.. but smiles per mile..

As for leasing.. Lease what your going to drive for the next 3 years. As Baldy explained, if you get into a lease.. then change your mind.. Open your pocketbook wide.. but not before you grease your rear end.. If you don't like whats available now.. be patient and wait for the fall models to come out.. if you can't wait.. residuals be damned.. lease what you drive..

Lastly and no one asked my opinion.. but I wouldn't lease this Charger.. this is a keeper.. this is well worth the cost of a 60 month agreement... Unless your a travelling salesman and intent on taking your lease cost off your taxes vrs miles and depreciation.. buy the unit..

Thats just my opinion.. and now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Hmmm...seeing as how this is DodgeForum.com, I don't think I'm being out of line when I say that our opinions would be slightly biased. LoL

If you want a badass, snarling, powerful muscle sedan with the kind of cool styling that causes traffic accidents (due to other drivers being unable to take their eyes off you), go with the Charger. If you want a mundane, fuel-efficient grocery-getter that is about as common as an ***, get the Accord.

Well put!

My wife and I both just did leases. Her with the 06 Charger SXT and I with the 06 QC Ram 4x4. We're both car ****** and never keep cars past 2-3 years so leasing works for us. This is a pretty solid guarantee of no upside down neg equity and a new car every 30-36 months. I was never a fan a leasing but for as much as I have taken it up the **** in neg equity this was a smarter option for us.

Do you think DCX do it right and AWD will be quicker off the line?

the best time to buy any car is in the fall.. cause then youll get a great deal on the 06 left overs and sale price on the new 07.. i would say there is no differce between the 2 years.. maybe more colors to choose from or better fuel M other then that.. the same..

First thing to know is go to Consumerreports.org and buy the new car pricing report for $12.95. It will tell you the exact dime the dealer paid Chrysler for the vehicle as well as what every option costs. If you live in a rural area you also should fly to a major city as it will make thousands of dollars difference as high volume dealerships get additional selling insentives direct from the manufacture outside of traditional hold backs. I picked up my 2006 GoManGO Daytona for $30,500 orginal sticker was over $34600. All the goodies but the sunroof (adds potential wind noise later and too damn hot in Phoenix for it anyway) & DVD-Navigation. Sam's Club and Costco also have good wholesale direct connections with dealerships in most states. Don't buy a six banger strippy or you will really get nailed when your bored (if that can happen with a Charger R/T) and DO NOT trade in anything or the dealer will be playing games with the trade to buy figures. IF you have to trade don't tell them that you have one until the deal is done then check nadaguides and edmunds.com for trade in figures. A lease is not a good long term idea. And even a pro like me has taken baths on magazine vehicle trade ins... As far as the Honda idea... you better buy what you want or you will be dealing with getting put upside down twice in negative equity... A V-6 Honda or a 350HP Charger... no brainer here.

Also Jenn is right that late August is when the dealers dump the year end models. But you can get good deals on the last day of the month especially if that holiday is late in the month like Memorial Day. Good luck
