we had a charger come in today where i work and i figured i would try and snap a few quick pics for you guys. This one is not a hemi it has a 3.5L and for those of you wondering those are hubcaps i wonder how well that will hold up until they fall off







I think dodge could have done a better job with the shifter but its still pretty cool that they put an autostick button on it



if i am posting the pics wrong if some would let me know and tell me how to fix it then i would gladly fix them. and sorry to the crappy pics i only had a minute to snap them but once we get some more new ones in i will take better ones.

Nice police car!!!!!! Here in Mexcio police cars are Ford Fiestas with 1.6 engines and 95 HP or nissan sentras with 110HP. High Way cops get Crown Victoria Police Interceptors or Dodge Durangos but the sad thing is that the urban and suburban policemen don´t know how to handle those low power cars anyone can outrun them[sm=escape.gif];the only way they catch u is if they manage to operate the radio which no one can actually outrunThink you might wanna know Saludos[sm=americanasmiley.gif]

 

I hope all the states use a stinkin' 6 banger... ha ha. But the thought of a 3.5 defeats the purpose of a Charger completely but outside of police radar I would say the Gone In Sixty Seconds bit would apply for me while being pursued by a 200HP car... "120, 150... he's gone..."

But for the sake of all the good cops at least the Mercedes designed Dodge won't explode when they are rear ended like a Crown Vic.

Yeah and don't some imports. The speedo is just a gauge. Doesn't mean it can do it. The top speed limiter for a 5.7 is 145mph. I have mine reset to 169 (liked the number) However I haven't seen if it will go there as it is a German Autobahn speed. The 6 cylinder propably can't break 120 down hill. Remember these cars weigh almost 5000 lbs.

 

The top speed for the 3.5L powered Charger is around 135 mph whereas the HEMI is supposed to be around 150 mph. These cars weigh closer to 4000lbs, no where near 5000 lbs.

I find it interesting that they actually offer the autostick in the police package. I mean I understand the value of it but the Police might not or might not want to mess with it since they have other things to worry about in a hot pursuit.
