Default Daytona Tire Size?

Hi all,

I have looked though several posts and have come to the conclusion that most people with stock wheels and tires on 06 Daytonas have their tire size set to 27.5" in their Flashpaq 3825. I did the calculation and come up with 28.18". I also did a crude measurement of the actual tires and have about 27 3/4 in the front and 28 in the back (probably different due to the weight difference seen by the tires. Please help me understand why 27.5 is used instead of 28.0.

235*0.55=129.25

129.25/25.4=5.09

5.09*2=10.18

18+10.18=28.18 inches.

I am guessing it is a rounding vs. truncation issue.

The formula (I just made up is): D = W + 2((R * Wd)/25.4)
using W=18", R = 0.55 and Wd = 235
I got: 28.177717

My calculator originally rounded that to 28.18 but if a program just truncated it to 2 decimal places it would be 28.17.
