Default RE: disconnected battery

I disconnected my battery yesterday for about 20 minutes. I wanted to "start over" with a "clean slate". I did the steering wheel and window thing, although I never lost the auto down on the driver's window before. I reprogrammed the computer with the Flashpaq - now, it doesn't seem to be as good as it was before. I'm going to reprogram again this morning (without disconnecting the battery) to see if that helps.

Default RE: disconnected battery

Hey all, On my Charger the battery took a dump about 2 weeks ago. Called dealer to ask if doing a jump start from a battery start box would do any harm . (battery only had 4.3 volts aposed to standard 13.4 volts ) turn key nothing no selonoid click or any dash lights ...dead dead. Dealer said if it starts no problem drive it in we will swap batttery...tried no start. Power from battery jump box turn key ...click, dead as door nail.tried 3 times total. at battery and jump points under hood still no use. Called dealer told me bring in battery for a swap.very special battery like a 34 series. I asked about resetting, electrical service mgr said, no drive after started. I called 2 other dealers to be sure, was told the same. Install new battery and drive it.I did and they were right, all is fine ...My battery was disconnected about 8 hrs and vehicle wasen't driven for about a week when I noticed the dead battery ....I read the owners manuel front to back several times to be sure ... it says reset MDS at dealer ............them claim only on early production numbers. The manuel lies.[sm=gears.gif]

Thanks for the personal experience Kustomkarl. I also had the battery disconnected for roughly 14+ hours when I installed headers. I started on a Friday night, stopped mid stream, and finished up the next day around 1ish in the afternoon. Connected the battery back up and drove off, no problems. So much for RTFM LOL.

MongoInTX - how did those headers work out for ya. What kind did you use? How did you finish up the rest of the exhaust? Noticeable improvement?
