I removed my hood decal it looked really cheap and weathered. The dealer told me they make them that way so you dont complain later after the sun beats them up. Way to shut me up.

What sort of trouble girltoys?

The decals are supposed to be matte finish.

May be a the type of wax you used or maybe applying it could be a problem.

Helped the fella detail my car when I bought it. He told me to apply it really light;y and don't let it dry before removal.

Is you car garage kept. Could be a big factor....

all the decals are peeling at the points of the letters and the dealer has already given me a brand new car and it has the same problem. i removed the hood sticker and now i and considering removing the others and putting on racing stripes. the car only has 500 miles on it.

Wow! Never heard of a dealer giving you a new car to replace one that just had cosmetic damage (I know it was scratched to the paint but it's still only cosmetic). They are taking a huge hit in doing that, not to mention all the hassle you're going to have to go thru with the DMV, title, loan/finance company, insurance, etc. I'm curious how they do that with all the things the VIN# is tied to. In Missouri you pay sales tax after you buy the car at the DMV so you can get your registration and plates. I don't think they have a procedure to handle a dealer 'swap' since their would need to be bills of sale, titles, lein waiver release forms, etc.

I'd like to hear the nitty-gritty of the swap procedure.
