Default voice commands

On y rear view mirror there is a button for voice commands. Does anyone know what I can enable them to control or activate?

Is my car like KITT?

Kitt give me boost! Oh that is just me mashing the gas, hA!

That is for a bluetooth enabled phone (Motorola Razr, etc.), so you can dial the phone by voice.
Other that that it's useless.

Do you know anything about the Homelink system too? I cant get mine to work w/ the garage and I dont see any obvious smart button like the manual mentions.

In regards to homelink, I do believe that you have to hold down the two outermost opener buttons for a period of time until it goes into program mode. Then, if I recall correctly, you have to hold down the button on the regular remote for your door until homelink is done recording the numerical sequence. I may be wrong about this procedure though since it has been awhile since I had to program it. In any case, the procedure for programming Homelink is in the manual.

P.S. Another neat feature of the bluetooth technology is that you can look up a place of business on the nav computer and choose to dial the location if a phone number is listed. It certainly beats trying to look the number up in the phone book or calling the operator.

Dodgedlr,

Did you install the Mopar UConnect after-market unit in your pickup? I got one for my Charger for Fathers Day because neither Dodge or my dealer would install the factory version UConnect rear view mirror - multiple lame excuses, none that made any sense to me.

I would like to hear from somebody who has the Mopar unit installed. I am contemplating returning the add-on before I install it because I am afraid I will be disappointed with the performance then have the interior of my Charger messed up for a non-functional upgrade.

Thanks....

When I set up my homelink system to work for my garage door opener; I had to have another person program the actual opener (that hangs in the garage). There is a smart button on the opener that you must push while the other person is sitting in the car programming the homelink system. Make sense?

No, I don't have the MOPAR unit.
I have a Parrot DriveBlue unit. It plugs into the cigar lighter, looks like the head of a golf club, and is totally wireless.
It cost 29.95 off of e-bay.... and I am really impressed with how well it works.
I have asked people if it makes me sound 'echo-y' like a speaker phone can, but they say no - its crystal clear.

Yes, you probably will have to remove the light cover to find the "smart buttons". Once I remove the light covers on my opener, the buttons are located directly under the lightbulbs. Hope this helps.
