Hi everyone. I'm getting ready to purchase a new Daytona R/T and was wondering your thoughts on whether I should pull the trigger on the Go ManGo! or wait around for a possible Plum Crazy? Does anyone know for a fact what the next colors will be? I'm not that crazy about the new TorRed. Plum Crazy would be amazing!

How do you Go ManGo! owners like your decision on the color? Any problems with paint or waxing...I know some decals are giving people problems...

My friend has the ManGo color and he has had not problem as of yet and he gets his car washed twice a week. Personally I love that color, as it just looks more like a muscle car color...just my opinion though.

 

I've had my Top Banana for a few days now and love the color, but it does seem to show dirt awfully easy....... I think I'll really enjoy washing it for the next few weeks, but ask me in half a year.....

 

From what I was told today, 07 will have the plum and green, but there are 2000 of a red color out now aswell.. Not sure of the exact color name, just know that its red and are only making 2000 of those as opposed to the 4000 yellow and 4000 gomango..

 

I have a TB Daytona. I also have a Mango Daytona Ram QC. IMO GMG doesn't look good on the Charger however, it's da bomb on the truck.......but that's just me.

I've seen torRed on the Daytona Charger in person and I wasn't impressed with it. The black graphics do not go with that color, they need to be silver or white to set it off.

Now, a subLime Charger Daytona in '07 will look s-w-e-e-t, especially with the black graphics. Real old school muscle.

Plum Crazy will be so-so, nice, but not my cup of tea.

Me, I have and LOVE the GoMango Daytona Charger. The color is head turning and the plastic engine cover is painted orange, almost like the Mango color, but doesn't match the Top Banana color at all when the hood is open. I also like the Mango color in the car better than the Top Banana (personal choice of course). The yellow in the radio area was too much for me.

I had my 71 GTX in Tor-Red with a black vinyl top for 11 years I sold last year to get this Mango Charger. I haven't personally seen the new Tor-Red color on a new Charger, but wonder how the paint color/hue is on it. The Mango and black decals are good together and in the sun (it needs to be lit up well) the color is beautiful and really turns heads. (Don't decide about the Mango color until you see it on a sunny day -- it'll glow).
In the 'old days' I loved the Plum Crazy with white interior combo. But it was on the E body cars and would put you in la-la land when they would drive by.

I guess I wrote about nothing, but HAVE FUN choosing!!

 

You should have seen the riot of color in old 70's Dodge engine compartments with the orange hemi and say a subLime, panther pink or plum crazy body color. The new engine cover color wasn't intended to match the Mango (although it does coincidentally) but to harken back to the glory days of MOPAR when Hemi's were bright orange from the factory.

Plum Crazy and SubLime in 2007? Can anyone confirm this at all, or is everything just speculation at this point?

If I decided to wait until 2007 for a new color, what do you think the price difference would be between an 07 and 06? I can get a fully loaded 06 right now for around $30,000. That includes sunroof, GPS/NAV, Electronics Group, Sound Group, Sirius, (the only thing not included basically is the rear DVD). Do you think the price difference will be huge, and if I waited till the first of the year, do you guys think I'd still have a good shot at picking up an 06 of my likings?

Talked to the salesman and he said the plum crazy was coming for 07! I will definitely be thinking of trading in the TB for it. The yellow is cool, but the yellow in the cockpit has got to go, tho.Have a crack in it and going to try talking the repair tech into putting black to replace it under warranty. The crack is just above the A/C vents and definitely replaceable by warranty.
Me personally, would go with the Plum Crazy 07 if you can wait.Think they will be out in September or so.

 

Hey...sorry to bust your chops on this one, but if your ready to plunk $30K on a car then it better be a color THAT YOU WANT and LIKE!!

You can throw all of our opinions about color aside since it's purely a personal preference.


GET WHAT YOU LIKE AND FbCK anyone who says they don't like it.


BTW, if you are finding a Go ManGo! new from a delaer, then you should be able to drive a hard bargain. These were the first color out, so he's been sitting on that caar for a long time. I was able to get about 7% discount from MSRP on the Top Banana....you should be able to get 8.5-10%.
