Unfortunately, they all can come off fairly easily. All they need is fishing line, credit card, ID card, etc. The only real way to keep it from coming off easily is to super glue it on, but if they really want it, they will still take it or destroy it in the process and whatever they happen to pull off will have part of your paint on it too.
Oh yeah, most if not all logos like that are stuck on with double sided tape. I'll tell you what though, they can't take vinyl stickers off without rendering it useless...especially in the sun.

That's up to you, but why not?
I would personally would leave it alone, I see it as feeding the fire. It sucks but, someone will take it, whether it's the same group of folks or another. There are lots of jealous, haters, or what have you type of people in this world.

I tell you what you should do.

With the logo on the tailgate it is either an '05 or '06, and probably still under warranty.
....you dont' KNOW that it was stolen do you? For all you know it fell off. You should be able to get a new logo under warranty.

I am serious, I would think it to be more likely for one to have fallen off from bad glue or prep, than someone actually taking the time to steal it.

Now, if you are absolutely certain it WAS stolen, I wouldnt recomend the warranty route as that would just be dishonest.

dodgedlr has a point. Are you absolutely sure it was stolen? Could be that it just fell off. A good thought, anyway.
