Default security alarm on Daytona's ?

My 2006 Daytona pretty much came with no options, no electronic conveinece grp, sunroof etc.... In the manual it talks about the keyless entry and the security alarm and says to set the alarm by hitting the lock button on the door while the door is open then hit lock on the key FOB and this will arm and lights/horn will blow in the event of a breakin. It also states that a security alarm light will blink in approx 16 seconds after activation. Is this for the optional alarm or is this part of the standard Daytona package? I do know that there is also an alarm package in one of the options groups, but thought that might be an upgraded type and this is a simple alarm as standard. If it is armed, where would the light be located?
