Default TorRed for 2007 R/T version?

So I'm confused...obviously I know the TorRed is for the Daytona packages in 06, but there were a few posts on here saying it would be availabe in the regular R/T version for 07, and the Dodge site has the TorRed option available in paint schemes for the regular R/T. Any info on this? I still haven't bought yet, and I'm weighing all my options. I love the chrome on the regular R/T grills. Same engine right? Is there any other differences with performance besides the extra 10 horses? Exhaust different? Thanks...

TorRed will be available on the 2007 R/T's but my dealer said his info said "late availablity".
So if you are patient enough it can be yours. He just got an 06 TorRed Daytona on the lott yesterday.
I think I am going to give in and get that one!

You da man. If anyone in the business knows when 'late availability' means...please chime in. Is this early next year in the spring? Later this year? Thanks...I'm just excited to hear about the regular R/T getting the TorRed. By far my favorite color.

I agree, I really like TorRed, the Inferno Red is too maroon for me. I'm just not sure I can wait until it is available, I may jump at the Daytona now just to get that color, I'm just not crazy about the big decals on the Daytona :-( But they are growing on me!
I will try to find out what "late availabilty" means, I have a good friend who is the service manager at my local Dodge dealer. Maybe he can get more info?

Personally, I would love to see this color on an RT. On the Daytona it is far too subdued. You can barely see the decals. Again just today at my dealer I looked at a red next to a TB. The red looks quiet compared to the TB's YELL! Still, it is a damn nice color.

I didn't like the hood sticker on my ManGo Daytona either, so I just had it removed before I picked it up. (condition of sale)

Not a big deal and it looks great (imo)

No Way, how do they remove the decals? Is there any paint damage?

It is just a decal that is applied after the car is painted and clearcoated. (kind of like putting carpet over a hardwood floor.)

Just take the sticker off. (they said they used a fingernail to start it, and applied a little heat as they worked it up. There was some glue reside around the edges that they had to clean off, then it was just a wax job away from perfect.

Michael

BTW - that is all hearsay from the dealer - I made the sticker removal a condition of the sale. They did say it would be about $300 to put it back on if I wanted to later (like if I sold it or changed my mind.)

I really like it without the hood sticker (I left the other ones on) and would not hesitate to do it again.

I'm not certain how many realize this but the Daytona is based on the R/T with the Road and Track handling package. Same engine, suspension, wheels, seats and a bunch of other goodies that come in the Daytona. Best $1600 you can spend on the car. If you want a different color or don't want the cop magnets (spoiler, graphics, etc.) have your dealer find or order one for you. I got lucky and there were 3 available in the area with the configuration and color (see my handle) I wanted so the sales guy was able to make a dealer trade for the closest one. It's a real sleeper. The only external give-away is the black trim on the wheels. Lots of spm.

Yea, I know the Daytona is just an R/T with the Road & Track package plus a few other goodies. The problem is that as of right now TorRed is ONLY available as a Daytona, just like Mango & Banana. So if you want one of those 3 colors but not the big stickers you are out of luck unless you have the dealer remove them.
